Dorrington House

History


Dorrington House was donated to Jimboomba Rotary by Alan Dorrington.

It was originally located on Queen Street, Jimboomba and was moved to it's current location on Johanna Street, Jimboomba.

Dorrington House was one of the original homesteads in the region. It was officially opened in it's current location by 2006-2007 Club President Mal Strachan & Rotary International District 9640 District Governor Douglas Geekie on December 9, 2006.

Dorrington House is available for hire.

How many People will Dorrington House seat?

Seating and Tables for 35.

Can we use candles?

Only on Cakes.

Is Alcohol permitted?

Yes, though licensing and responsible service of alcohol rules still apply.

Can we have prior access to Dorrington House to decorate?

Arrangements can be made at the time of booking.

What facilities are provided in the kitchen?

Fridge, Stove, Zip Mini-boil hot water, Microwave and a small amount of utensils and crockery. You will need to provide your own Tea and Coffee.

Toilet facilities are available with Dorrington House.

Is smoking allowed?

No smoking is allowed anywhere on the site.

Can we clean Little Brown Church or Dorrington House before the inspection?

Yes - the security deposit that you paid will be refunded (by cheque) once the post-usage inspection has been completed and the building is in a satisfactory condition.

Do I need to be there for the inspection?

No, though it would be advisable for you or a representative to attend. The timing of the inspection will need to be arranged with Jo.

When will I get my security deposit refunded?

Usually within 2 weeks, if property is left in a satisfactory condition.

How will I get my security deposit refunded?

It will be a cheque, made out to the person or organisation and mailed to the address listed on the hire contract form.
